On-resort first

Communal pools — Pool 16 is a short walk from Casa Sylvia, with 20 other resort pools to explore during your stay.
Padel and tennis courts — courts are available on the resort and can be booked by the hour through the resort mobile app. Free for Casa Sylvia guests as long as they wear a resort wristband. Padel rackets are available if you didn't pack them; tennis rackets are not provided.
Bike hire — the resort is fully pedestrianised inside the gates, so kids can cycle safely between pools and playgrounds.
Golf academy for juniors — La Torre runs group lessons for 6–14s in school holidays, around €25 per session.

Day-trips within 45 minutes

Terra Natura Murcia (30 min)

Zoo and waterpark combo. Adults around €26–€28, kids around €22 online. Do the zoo in the morning, waterpark after lunch. Full day out. View on Google Maps

Mar Menor beaches, Los Alcázares (25 min)

Shallow, calm, warm — the Mar Menor is Europe's largest salt lake and famously safe for young kids. Sand beaches, promenade, ice cream, done. Get directions

La Manga & boat trips (35 min)

Rent a small boat for 2 hours (no licence needed) from Puerto de Mazarrón or Cabo de Palos. Around €100–€150 for a small boat, depending on season and boat size. View on Google Maps

Cartagena old town (30 min)

Roman theatre, harbour, gelato. A very civilised half-day out that kids surprisingly love. View on Google Maps

Cabo de Palos lighthouse & snorkelling (40 min)

Marine reserve — clear water, easy snorkelling from the rocks below the lighthouse. Pack fins. View on Google Maps

Practicalities

Car hire from Murcia airport is roughly €20–€35/day and makes all of the above far easier.
Terra Natura and the waterpark tickets are usually 10–15% cheaper booked online in advance.
Most beaches are dog-friendly outside July–August; check local signage as rules vary by municipality.
